Rafael Nadal is always very well prepared to play a tennis match… physically, mentally, tactically, and even fashionably. His most memorable tennis outfit is probably the Hot Pink polo used in Roland Garros back in 2009. He wore a hot pink polo with bright yellow sweat bands and bandanna. Of course he did have special pink shoes to match the outfit. Turns out it was the only time he lost in French Open. Oh the irony. In 2012 Rafa came back wearing bright red colors, but Nike have disguised their color choice by calling it Scarlet Fire. This time the result was much better as Nadal claimed his 7th Roland Garros title in 8 years and owns a 52-1 winning record. Paris courts bring out the best in Rafa, but he also has a special relationship with the courts at Flushing Meadows. His US Open collection usually consist of two outfits as it’s the only Grand Slam with day and night games. It’s like having Home and Away uniforms in basketball or any other team sport.
