Nike Tennis Previews Rafa’s French Open Look with Sample Lunar Ballistecs

This is the look that Rafael Nadal will wear as he tries to defend his Roland Garros title later this month. Reigning tournament champion and world No.1 Nadal will seek a remarkable ninth title in Paris wearing a striking blue 2014 Premier Rafa Crew, redesigned Nike Premier Rafa Jacket, Nike Gladiator Premier 7-inch Shorts and the new Nike Lunar Ballistec. Nadal’s key color for Paris is Polarized Blue, chosen for its powerful contrast to the signature orange hue of the playing surface at Roland Garros. As for the shoes… Nike shows us the latest Blue version of the Lunar Ballistecs, however, they used a sample with a solid black outsole opposed to a black and white look on the retail version (posted below). Again, I like the sample version better, but I wonder if Rafa finally makes the switch towards his new signature shoes in Paris?!? So far he’s been using his old model or the modified version of the Lunar Ballistec with components from the CB 4.3.
