Nadal Wears CB 4.3 Imitating Nike Lunar Ballistec in Round 2 Win
Top seed Rafael Nadal faced the lowest-ranked player in the draw, 17-year-old Thanasi Kokkinakis, the world number 570. The Australian gave a very good account of himself but, not surprisingly, found Nadal too tough, the Spaniard winning 6-2 6-4 6-2. Nadal continues to fuel the speculation surrounding his sneaker choice. He still wears the Nike Air Max Court Ballistec 4.3 instead of the recently released Lunar Ballistec. Fans are trying to understand what’s going on with the new shoes. Seems like it was no coincidence in the first round, because this time he wore his Day edition shoes, which imitate the second colorway of the LB’s. I know it’s very hot in Melbourne, but I really doubt it’s the ventilation.
